Dr. Jeannie Khavkin is a board certified and fellowship-trained surgeon specializing in plastic surgery of the face. She combines extensive training with her innate sense of aesthetics to help her patients achieve their aesthetic goals. Dr. Khavkin focuses her practice exclusively on the face and neck, because she believes in concentrating on one particular area in order to achieve truly exceptional results.
Khavkin Facial Plastic Surgery, which opened in 2010, offers surgical and nonsurgical procedures for the face and neck, with emphasis on natural looking results. Surgical procedures include rhinoplasty, facelift and neck lift, eyelid and forehead lift, scar revision and skin cancer reconstructive surgery. Non-surgical services include Botox/Dysport, injectable fillers, customized skin treatments, microdermabrasion with dermalinfusion, among others.
While growing up in Russia, Dr. Khavkin always felt equally drawn to the arts and sciences, and was inspired to go into the medical field by her mother, a neonatal critical care specialist. Dr. Khavkin received her medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago where she excelled to the top of her class and was selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During her training, Dr. Khavkin received several research awards and published articles in the leading scientific journals. During her residency, Dr. Khavkin was fortunate to be trained by two internationally renowned leaders in facial plastic surgery, both past presidents of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Their mentorship inspired her to pursue advanced training in facial plastic surgery and she was accepted into a prestigious fellowship accredited by the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Toronto.
As one of the very few female plastic surgeons in Nevada, Dr. Khavkin brings a uniquely feminine perspective to facial plastic surgery to create an elite and personalized patient experience. She believes in developing long-term relationships with her patients and in caring for each patient with integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
He has been a board member in Firefly and MiraMed doing humanitarian work in the orphanages in Russia, Jewish Healthcare International in Belarus as well as Eagle Condor International in Peru.In addition to focusing on her practice, Dr. Khavkin serves as a board member for Smiles for Survivors, a local nonprofit foundation that provides oral rehabilitation to breast cancer survivors, and donates time to Helping Hands Surgical Care, an organization whose mission is to fund and facilitate surgeries for uninsured and underinsured patients.
Outside of work, Dr. Khavkin enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, but most of all spending time with her family – her husband, Yevgeniy Khavkin, a neurosurgeon specializing in the treatment of spine disorders, and their young sons.
