My name is John Scully. I was born in the North Suburbs of Chicago and enjoy many hobbies from saltwater fish tanks to music and cars. A graduate of the University of Iowa, I double majored and received a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Physiology along with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies Health Sciences. Prior to graduation, I obtained my national certification as an EMT and became the manager for a high-performance EMS service, where I have developed many skills that link administrative responsibilities to the welfare of the patient.
Before attending the Idaho State University Physician Assistant Program I had the opportunity to discover what health care is like in Haiti. As a Physician Assistant, I plan to devote as much time as possible listening to the patient’s story and using a well-rounded approach to care for them.
I have completed surgical rotations at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT, and Stonegate Plastic Surgery St. Joseph, MI. Along with six other areas of medicine, I feel my well-rounded approach to care will assist even the most complex patients and clients.
After graduating in the top 5% of my class, I began work in Las Vegas at many of the surrounding emergency rooms, including learning many high acuity skills and procedures in Pahrump, NV. I pride myself on bedside manner and competency. With the Khavkin Clinic, I already feel at home and look forward to making an impact with not only our patients but with their families.
